Fagor Arrasate, a world leader in the design and manufacture of slitting and cut-to-length lines, will supply a complete fully automated slitting line for Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS) to SSAB, one of the world's leading steel companies.

It is a high-performance line that incorporates all the latest technologies and automations available, allowing it to reach high levels of productivity and profitability.

With a speed of 150 m/min, the line is capable of processing the most resistant steels, with high yield strength, 1500 N/ mm2, with coils up to 6 mm thick and 1550 mm wide. The quick change of the cutting tools and the position of the separators is carried out automatically. This shortens machine set-up times and reduces manual operations, improving ergonomics and safety for operators. The equipment also has a scraper to revalue surplus scrap.
